For a monthly meeting that discusses the history and growth (no pun intended) of growing ornamental plants in California, read on.
On January 9, 2006 at 6:00pm, San Diego County's Horticulture industry will feature Eric Larson, a master horticulturist. Mr. Larson is the head of San Diego's County Farm Bureau and will be speaking on how San Diego came to be one of the leaders in horticultural crop production.
At Surfside Race Place, Del Mar Fairgrounds in Del Mar, CA, Larson will be discussing the future of horticulture in California as well as addressing current trends and challenges growers are facing. These issues are relevant to all who attend, no matter their hometown.
Again, this is a monthly meeting and it runs from 6:00pm -9:00pm. There are no fees to this meeting and all are invited.
