After the holidays have died down and the winter has settled in, why not perk things back up with a beautiful flower and art show?
On 1400 Roosevelt Avenue in Redwood City, California, the Community Activities building is playing host to the Jungle Fever Peninsula Orchid Society Show and Sale. On both January 7th and 8th from 10am to 5pm, visitors can browse the hundreds of orchids that will be judged throughout the show.
The 2006 show also offers the "Orchids in Art" show with paintings and other art offerings by local artists.
You can also buy orchids at thsi show to help you through the months. Lessons in the care and maintenance of orchids will be given throughout the weekend.
Admission is only $5 for general admission, $3 for seniors and children from 12-16.
